Families with children with diagnosis have special needs, and HARC is constantly looking for ways to meet those needs.
Currently, HARC is reaching out to the community with three HARC programs: A Parents Night Out Program, which gives families a chance to get a way for a few hours on a Friday night; Working in conjunction with Gethsemane UMC, a Sunday School and Worship Program, allowing families a chance to go to church; and an Adult Social Club providing social opportunities for adults with disabilities.

| In 2009, HARC began our Adult Social Club program looking for a way to help families with 'adult children with disabilities' in the form of a 'Social Club'. This program meets in the afternoon once a week with transportation provided for the members. The Club provides a unique opportunity for these special young adults to practice social skills and gain self-confidence as they interact with other people. It also provides them the opportunity to have a place of their own, make new friends, be themselves, discover new talents, become leaders, make decisions and most importantly, to have fun in a safe, welcoming environment.
HARC welcomes your suggestions as to ways to reach out to children, their parents, and the community at large. If there is some way that we can assist you, contact us and we will be glad to speak with you.
