HARC "Mentors"

HARC realizes that parental responsibility for people with special needs doesn't end when the child turns 21, and parents of adults with challenges need a break as well. We also know that many people with special needs want to be productive citizens in the community. For this reason, HARC has begun a mentor program, where young adults with special needs can be helpers in HARC's Friday evening Parents Night Out program while still having the fun of participating in the program. While HARC mentors do need to have some ability and desire to assist, for some people and families, it is a blessing for their adult children to be a part of HARC.
